🧮 Dynasty Asset & Rookie Draft Capital Matrix
Assemble a package of future draft picks and weigh it against active veteran players from this site's real boards. Every number below is a model estimate from this site's own stated models — not a market price, not a prediction.
Proximity / time-value factor: the same user-adjustable slider as the trade calculator (0.50–2.00, default 1.00), applied to pick values only. Picks are generally worth more as their draft approaches; the factor is your own assumption, printed here so nobody mistakes it for a market price. Pick value used = round(house value at slot × factor, 2).
Veteran values: the house value of the player's rank on the board you choose (dynasty by default — this is a dynasty tool — or redraft): value = round(1000 × 0.987(rank−1), 2). Prospect big-board players, if you add them, are valued the same way at their published big-board rank.
Verdict: Surplus = package total − player total. Inside ±5% of the larger total the two sides read Even (the site's standard fairness band); otherwise the heavier side is named. Offered only for the five draft sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, WNBA) — the same five that carry pick assets elsewhere on this site.

About the Dynasty Asset & Rookie Draft Capital Matrix
Dynasty managers argue about one question more than any other: what is a package of future picks actually worth against a real player today? The Dynasty Asset Matrix weighs exactly that — assemble a package of future draft picks on one side, real veteran players from this site's boards on the other, and see the surplus or deficit under one printed model.
Pick values use this site's existing pick-asset model, unchanged: a pick is worth the house value of its stated expected slot, where house value = round(1000 × 0.987(rank−1), 2). The stated slots are the same ones the trade calculator has always used — 1st round early = slot 5, 1st round mid = slot 15, 1st round late = slot 25, 2nd round = slot 40 — and a custom slot (any rank 1–60) is valued on the same curve. The matrix extends those slots to draft years 2027–2030; the year changes only the label, never the value, except through the proximity factor: the same user-adjustable time-value slider as the trade calculator (0.50–2.00, default 1.00), applied to picks only, because picks generally gain value as their draft approaches. The factor is your own assumption, printed so nobody mistakes it for a market price.
Veterans are valued at the house value of their rank on the board you choose — dynasty by default, since this is a dynasty tool, or redraft. The verdict: surplus = package total − player total, and inside ±5% of the larger total the two sides read Even, the site's standard fairness band. The matrix is offered for the five draft sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, WNBA). Every number on the page is a model estimate from these stated rules — not a market price and not a prediction.
Frequently asked questions
How does the Dynasty Asset Matrix value a future draft pick?
At the house value of its stated expected slot: 1st round early = slot 5 (949.01), mid = slot 15 (832.61), late = slot 25 (730.49), 2nd round = slot 40 (600.30), with house value = round(1000 × 0.987^(rank−1), 2). A custom slot (rank 1–60) uses the same curve, and a user time-value factor (default 1.00) can adjust picks for how far away the draft is.
When does the matrix call a pick package even with a player?
Surplus = package total − player total. Inside ±5% of the larger total the two sides read Even — the same fairness band every trade tool on this site uses.
