🔀 Three-Way Trade Calculator
Build a three-team trade inside one sport. Players are valued with the house model — value = 1000 × 0.987(rank−1) — from the list you choose (redraft or dynasty). For the five draft sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, WNBA) each side can also send and receive future draft picks.
Fairness rule (printed, always applied the same way): the trade reads Balanced when no team's ΔV is worse than −5% of the largest single-side total (the biggest sent or received total among the three teams) — the same ±5% band the site's two-team calculators use.
Pick values are model estimates, not market prices: a pick is valued at the house value of its stated expected slot — early 1st = rank 5, mid 1st = rank 15, late 1st = rank 25, 2nd round = rank 40. Picks are generally worth more as their draft approaches; model that with the time-value factor slider below (default 1.00). The factor is your own assumption, printed here so nobody mistakes it for a market price.

About the Three-Way Trade Calculator
Most trade calculators stop at two teams. This one scores full three-team trades inside any one sport on The Expert Sports — all 44 of them — using the same house trade-value model as the two-team calculators on every sport page, so a deal checked here argues from exactly the same numbers as a deal checked on a rankings page.
Players are valued by the house model — value = 1000 × 0.987(rank−1) — taken from the list you choose, redraft or dynasty. Every asset you add is routed to one of the other two teams: pick the destination beside the Add button, or accept the default rotation A→B, B→C, C→A. The calculator reports each team's ΔV — value received minus value sent — and the three ΔVs always sum to zero, because value only moves between teams; it is never created. The fairness rule is printed and always applied the same way: the trade reads Balanced when no team's ΔV is worse than −5% of the largest single-side total, the same ±5% band used across this site.
For the five draft sports — NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL and WNBA — each side can also send and receive future draft picks. Picks are model estimates, not market prices: a pick is valued at the house value of its stated expected slot (early 1st = rank 5, mid 1st = rank 15, late 1st = rank 25, 2nd round = rank 40). Because picks generally gain value as their draft approaches, a time-value factor slider (default 1.00) lets you state your own assumption — printed on the page so nobody mistakes it for a market price.
Frequently asked questions
How does the trade calculator value future draft picks?
A pick is valued at the house trade value of its stated expected slot on the value curve (1000 × 0.987^(rank−1)): early 1st round = rank 5 (949.01), mid 1st = rank 15 (832.61), late 1st = rank 25 (730.49), 2nd round = rank 40 (600.30). A time-value factor slider (default 1.00) lets you adjust for how far away the draft is; it is your own assumption, printed on the page.
How are players valued in the Three-Way Trade Calculator?
By the house model — value = 1000 × 0.987^(rank−1) — using the rank from the list you choose (redraft or dynasty) for the sport you are trading in. The #1 player is worth 1000.00 and each rank below multiplies by 0.987.
When does the calculator call a three-way trade balanced?
Each team's ΔV is value received minus value sent, and the three ΔVs always sum to zero. The trade reads Balanced when no team's ΔV is worse than −5% of the largest single-side total — the same ±5% fairness band used by every trade calculator on this site.
